Several people hold their worth in life to who they’re partners to and whom they are in a relationship with. To them, if they’re not actively in a relationship then things aren’t good and life could be better.
There’s no self sufficiency or self satisfaction, always the constant feeling to urge to not be alone. You see being single as a sigh of loneliness, as a sign of an inability to be loved and even ass sign of weakness.
However, you should realise that there’s a lot of strength in self sufficiency and that you can thrive and live and grow while being single ! Here are some positives to being single.
You’re bound to have a cleaner and clearer mind. You see, being intimate with someone makes your mind and head occupied. You constantly have to think about you and then them and then you and them together. Even though it’s subconscious, there’s still little time in your head to focus on your individual person. Being single however helps you focus on yourself and your needs. It leaves your mind clear.
This often makes it possible to get in touch with your self. You start to discover new things about yourself. Things you enjoy and things you don’t particularly like. It gives you time to reflect.
Reflections would help you set realistic goals for yourself. You’d understand your journey better. You’d be able to figure out things you want out of your life.
Being single helps you stay in the present. In the moment, which is great because you’re not constantly thinking about the next move or the next moment or what to say or do. You’re simply living your life to the fullest and maximising your time. Besides, there’s nothing like the time you have now !
Whether you think about it or not, being single helps you think about your finances. It contributes a huge factor to trying to stay financially independent. You see, being single makes you realise you’re not sharing your financial burdens with anyone, so you’d have to step out and take charge of your finances.
Here’s one fun one. You can take care of yourself. Put yourself first, your needs, your wants, your feelings. You can take long walks if that’s your thing or spend your time immersed in a book or maybe even a hot bath with scented candles. Self care can become a priority when you’re not committed to anyone.
You might call this being lonely, but being single helps you enjoy your own company. You’d find that you might actually enjoy this. Besides, learning to enjoy time with ourselves helps to choose the people we want around us. So, it’s literally a win win.
Finally, there’s a certain level of sexy confidence that comes with being single. Now, this doesn’t just happen because you are single or have become single, this happens when you’re sure about yourself despite your singleness. You most times radiate this kind of energy that’s so clear. The good thing about confidence is that it works in any circumstance.
Yes, being single isn’t the easiest thing to deal with, especially when life and even movies make it look like a relationship is the only way to fully enjoy life. However, you can enjoy living single ands have a fulfilling life regardless !
